Outreach

agape_projectWe encourage all members to respond to God’s call by participating in these and other programs of ministry. Ours is a church that welcomes new ideas and sharing of skills and experiences. We believe you will find much opportunity to participate at whatever level is most comfortable for you.

“Use Me, Lord” – This initiative encourages all members to participate actively in the work of the Lord at Kingswood. For details, contact Jo Hunter, Volunteer Coordinator, at 969-6155.

Cheerios – This group visits shut-ins and members in nursing homes. Contact Julienne Ratcliff at 983-4905 to volunteer.

Luke’s Group – Join this group of caring people who visit members in hospitals.

Wild Cards – Be part of this team and help send birthday cards to members.

Building Teams – Adults and Youth assist in repairing churches and homes damaged in hurricanes and floods. The Western North Carolina Conference also offers opportunities for Volunteers in Mission building teams abroad. Contact Billy Walker at 983-0804.

Giving Tree – Each December, our congregation generously gives to families in need within our local community.

Collections for Special Programs – From international missions such as Project Agape for children in Armenia, to food collections for those in need in our own community, to special offerings, Kingswood responds in many ways to share God’s love with others.
